March Gratitude

This is the day which Adonai has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it. ~ Psalm 118.24
the lingering chill of winter and the warmth of a Spring afternoon
daffodils and wood violets, mountains views and the new moon
a Tuesday in which the curtains hang askew and the oxalis decides to bloom
the smell of an old book well read and loved
the silky texture and golden gilded pages of my Bible
prayer time
the end of a school quarter, a weekend getaway for two, the anticipation of a new school quarter
my sister
an afternoon nap while the sunlight streams through the windows
phone calls with good friends
the smell of rain and rumbling thunder and rocking chairs on the front porch
Yeshua and Pesach and Spring cleaning
seedlings emerging, preparing the garden for summer, thick billowy clouds
leave unfurling, Spring blooms, purple cauliflower
the bend of a river and its rushing waters, picnics under an old oak
solitude
stargazing
conversations with strangers that end in laughter
good memories of times long past
Psalm 100
Serve Adonai with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing.
Know that Adonai Himself is Elohim;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Shout joyfully to Adonai, all the earth.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For Adonai is good;
His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations.
